Slaven Bilic should look to sign these 2 Portuguese players for West Ham in January

West Ham United have endured a horrific start to their Premier League campaign, and it’s safe to say their supporters here in the Tavern have been shocked by what they’ve seen!

Time after time, the Hammers have underperformed and quite simply, have failed to show up under the shadow of new surroundings.

There’s little excuse for some of their performances too – they’re a good squad of players who were fantastic at times last season.

Why they’re struggling so much now has bamboozled a few, with our Hammers-loving landlord being one of them!

But what’s clear perhaps more than anything is that West Ham need some reinforcements come January.

There have been players that haven’t performed well enough and they need some quality bodies that are going to really fight for the shirt.

And with Portugal winning the Euros this summer, we thought we’d have a look to see if any of their players might fit in this beleaguered West Ham side.

So with that in mind, here’s TWO Portuguese players Bilic should look to sign in January…..

Ruben Semedo

At times, the Hammers have been so poor in defence and a top-quality centre-back really wouldn’t go a-miss at the London Stadium.

And a player we think would add some really quality to the side is Ruben Semedo, who is a centre-half for Sporting Lisbon.

The 22-year-old has been tipped as one of the best young defenders Portugal have in their ranks and he’s known for his fantastic heading ability and burst of pace.

As young, hungry defenders go, he’s definitely one of the best.

Wilson Eduardo

Portuguese forward Wilson Eduardo is as industrious as they come and at times, you feel that United could do with a really hard-worker in their under-performing side.

He’s a 26-year-old striker who plays for Braga but he has a whole host of European experience, playing for top teams in Croatia, Holland and Portugal, where he started his career with Sporting Lisbon.

He’s not going to be the man to get 30 goals-a-season but like we said, as industrious, pacey, hard-working forwards go, he’s top of the list.

West Ham need someone to set an example.
