West Ham United have taken some time to adapt to life in their new home at the London Stadium but now finally look to be back on the straight and narrow.
Croatian boss Slaven Bilic did great things at the Hammers last season and there is a real sense that the club is starting to go places once again.
The contingent of Hammers supporters who play dominos in the Transfer Tavern on a Thursday night have been in optimistic spirits of late despite a relatively average start to the season, with several members of the group believing in the squad that Bilic has assembled.
One ardent Hammer is sat over by the jukebox however and he thinks that January needs to come around quickly so that the club can bring in some more quality.
The Transfer Tavern’s Lee Clarke looks at two Italian players who the Hammers should consider swooping for in January.
Andrea Belotti

The 22-year-old Torino man has been in scintillating form in Serie A this season, netting an impressive six goals already.
The striker would bolster the Hammers squad considerably and his lively style would make him a perfect signing for a Premier League outfit.
One West Ham United fan is sat chatting to the landlord and they both believe that the Hammers could do with some youthful exuberance in attack, with Belotti the ideal signing for the club.
Domenico Criscito

The versatile defender moved to Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2011 and has since made over 100 appearances for the Russian outfit.
Prior to that, the central defender who can also operate at left-back, spent time with Genoa and Juventus in his native Italy boasting experience of playing in the Champions League.
One Hammer here in the Tavern is sat flicking through the newspaper and he believes that Criscito would be a quality addition to the squad, although he does doubt whether the club could lure him to the London Stadium.
West Ham United fans, would you welcome these players to the London Stadium? Which other Italians would you like to see at the club? Let us know in the comments below!!!
