Southampton fans didn’t have a lot to cheer about after their loss on the weekend to Newcastle which also saw their winger Moussa Djenepo receive a straight red card in the first half. (Premier League)
However, a positive from the game was the atmosphere created and a lot of fans are talking on social media, hoping that their fanbase will continue to support the club in a similar fashion for their next fixture against Norwich City. The fans knew how crucial the game was and tried to give the players all the support they needed, and this support even earned praise from manager Ralph Hasenhuttl after the match.
Southampton clearly heave loyal supporters, pushing a team that have gone from battling for a top ten position in the Premier League to fighting for survival in English football’s top flight.
