Southampton will try and build on their 1-1 draw with Burnley when they take on Cardiff City at St. Mary’s this Saturday.
The Saints came extremely close to leaving Turf Moor with all three points, only to be denied by an Ashley Barnes penalty right at the death.
The visitors took the lead in the second half thanks to a fantastic strike from Nathan Redmond, who has been one of the team’s standout performers under Ralph Hasenhuttl.
Redmond had endured a difficult time under former bosses Mark Hughes and Mauricio Pellegrino. However, since Hasenhuttl took to the St. Mary’s dugout, he has looked like a rejuvenated player.
The 24-year-old is confidently taking on opponents again, just like in the build up to his goal versus Sean Dyche’s side, and does not look afraid to take a shot from any distance.
