Southampton: Saints enter Josh King talks

According to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein, Southampton have entered last-minute talks to sign Josh King from Bournemouth, while Shane Long may be going in the other direction.
Saints eye King
King remains at Dean Court after the Cherries were relegated to the Championship, but he is a still player in demand.
It seems the Saints are eager to sign the Norway international. In order to get a permanent deal done, they may allow Long to go in the opposite direction in an initial loan deal with an option to buy.
Good option
With 64 goals to his name throughout his career, King has been a fantastic player for Bournemouth (Transfermarkt). 53 of those have come in 183 games for his current side, and he was recently labelled a “real threat” by Cherries manager Jason Tindall (The Daily Echo).
Would you like to sign Josh King?
Yes

No

Long has been a good servant for the Saints, but 35 goals in 226 matches is far from a prolific record. At 34 years of age, it seems it may be the perfect time for him to move on.
In other news, Southampton fans slam this man against Aston Villa.
