Southampton are still in the relegation zone despite a slight up-turn in form a few weeks ago. Indeed, since beating Watford and Norwich, they’ve lost their last two and fans are right to be worried about their future in the Premier League.
One major worry for manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is injuries, and Thursday saw him announce that Moussa Djenepo is out with a hamstring injury.
He signed from Standard Liege in summer for £14.13m (per Transfermarkt) and has had a mixed start to his career on the south coast. According to WhoScored, he’s made six starts and four substitute appearances so far this term, scoring two and assisting one. However, he’s suffered from injury problems throughout the season so far and was on the sidelines for a period between September and November too.
The club’s official Twitter account posted the news that he won’t be able to play in this Saturday’s crunch game against Aston Villa, and fans weren’t pleased. Many replied to the tweet to show their frustration that he’s once again out injured just when the club need to get back to winning ways.

Who did the scouting on him? He’s more injury prone than Austin was!
