Southampton fans appear delighted by the news that Wesley Hoedt is seemingly on the verge of completing a permanent move to Lazio.

The Netherlands international moved to the Italian outfit on loan during the summer. Hoedt has not had the best of times at St. Mary’s Stadium – he made 28 appearances in the Premier League during his first campaign in 2017/18, but he played just 13 times in the following season before he was loaned out to Celta Vigo.
Hoedt has admitted that he made a mistake in joining the Saints – not the kind of comment that is likely to endear you to club’s supporters.
The latest news has attracted plenty of attention from the fans, and it seems they would not be too unhappy at all if he were to complete a transfer away.
