Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana at the end of the season, according to a report from The Telegraph.
The 31-year-old’s contract at Anfield is set to expire in the summer and it is suggested that Spurs, along with Leicester City, Arsenal and West Ham, could be keen on taking him to north London.
Lallana has been with Liverpool since arriving from Southampton in 2014 and has played 175 times for them in all competitions, scoring 22 goals and providing 22 assists (Transfermarkt). However, he has not been a regular this season, starting just three times in the Premier League so far (Transfermarkt), so it seems unlikely that Jurgen Klopp will look to extend his current contract.
It seems that most Spurs fans wouldn’t be too keen on signing the 34-time England international though. Indeed, many do not think that he is good enough anymore and that signing him shows a lack of ambition, whilst others point to his poor injury record as a reason not to sign him (Transfermarkt).
