Tottenham have opened talks with Manchester City over a move for young Brazilian winger Savinho. Sky Sports has reported that City do not want to sell the player but will not stand in his way should he push for a move.
The figure being discussed is understood to be around the €50m mark, which is believed to need to increase to temp City into selling. City signed the 21-year-old just last season from sister club Troyes, and he impressed in his debut season in the Premier League.
He scored three goals and provided 13 assists across 48 appearances in all competitions for City last season. He spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Girona where he scored 11 goals and helped the club achieve Champions League football.
He played mainly on the right wing for City and the left wing for Girona, showing his versatility across the front line. He can also play the No.10 role, which could interest Spurs as they will miss James Maddison for large parts of the season.
Spurs keen on Savinho

The player is reportedly open to the move but is not actively pursuing an exit at the moment. The Brazil featured heavily for City last season but might see his time limited this season following the arrivals of Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders.
Savinho came on as a half-time substitute in City’s last pre-season game of the summer, a 3-0 win over Palermo on Saturday.
Spurs have already done quite a but of reshuffling this summer, having spent £120.3m on six signings. Mohammed Kudus is the marquee arrival after joining in a club record £55m deal from West Ham.
The Europa League winners also turned the loan deals of Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel’s permanent for £20.9m and £29.9m respectively.
Veteran midfielder Joao Palhinha has joined on loan from Bayern Munich, while defenders Luka Vuskovic (£9.5m) and Kota Takai (£5m) have also joined the club this summer.
The high profile departure of talisman Heung-Min Son this summer could see Savinho occupy the left wing role. Son joined MLS side Los Angeles FC after a decade in North London.
