Spurs, Man Utd, Marseille & The €9M Wonder Winger

Ajax’s £8 million rated defender Vurnon Anita is generating interest from Manchester United, Tottenham and Marseille, according to talkSPORT.

Anita’s versatility makes him an appealing target as the youngster can play as a centre back, right back or on the wing. At 22 years of age, he doesn’t have a great deal of experience but he has already acquired 3 caps for his country.

Sir Alex is renowned for his player development, added to this, the fact Anita has been schooled through Ajax’s distinguished academy would make the Dutchman a snip at £8 million.

With his contract set to expire next summer, Ajax may be forced to cash in on the player to avoid him leaving for free. talkSPORT have suggested that Marseille have acted first by sending scouts to watch Anita in action.

If Manchester United see Anita as a cog in their well oiled machine, you wouldn’t bet against the budding treble winners beating off the competition from Spurs and Marseille to get their man.
