Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern were certainly left reeling at the weekend after seeing their side lose to Manchester United 4-0 on the opening act of the Premier League season.
Indeed, the Hammers looked well off the pace and many supporters are seriously hoping that is not going to be indicative of a campaign that once again disappoints – as last year did.
Next weekend, then, can’t come soon enough for the club to try and put things right but whilst we wait for that the club has also let Sofiane Feghouli go to Galatasaray.
Things never really worked out for the winger at the east London side and so it makes sense that he has moved on to try and kick-start his career.
Upon leaving, then, Feghouli sent a message to Hammers fans on Twitter and so, with that in mind, here is the best of what has been said:
