Our punters here at the Transfer Tavern are getting excited over this potentially huge January move, with Talksport reporting that Alexandre Pato is open to a Premier League move.
Pato, who is still only 26 years old, has certainly lost his way a bit. Having burst onto the scene as an exciting young striker at AC Milan, he is now currently plying his trade at Sao Paolo, on loan from Corinthians.
It would appear though that Pato is looking to revive his career and truly fulfil his potential, with a move to England looking like his preferred destination to let the world know he still exists.
Pato’s interest in England has put clubs such as West Ham United and Manchester United on red-alert. A clearly talented footballer, a calculated gamble on Pato could be a shrewd piece of buisness for any Premier League club who are looking to add more impetus to their attack.
