According to The South Wales Evening Post, Swansea are looking at signing Tom Carroll from Tottenham with our resident Swans fans more than happy with such a prospect here in the Transfer Tavern.
The 24-year-old midfielder has really struggled to get into the Tottenham side during his early career and now must, according to our landlord, seriously consider a move away for the good of his future.
Indeed, he has already spent a stint on loan with the Swans and so he’d be entering familiar surroundings should he make a permanent move to the club.
With the likes of Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama and Dele Alli all avaialble for those central positions at Spurs he’s hardly had a look-in whilst young Harry Winks has also emerged in front of him in the pecking order.
Prospects of him forcing his way in look pretty thin on the ground then and so Swansea could gain from it according to the report.
They are currently fighting off relegation and our landlord thinks they’d have a great chance of doing just that if they were to sign the Englishman in January.
