Eamonn Holmes and Johnny Marr. There’s something about Eamonn Holmes that I just can’t help but like. Every morning he seems more and more annoyed with the world, and doesn’t seem to care. The Belfast born presenter is a huge Manchester United fan, and has a season ticket at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, across the city, a charming man has become Mancunian royalty. Johnny Marr, lead guitarist with legendary band The Smith’s, was a budding footballer and at 16 had trials with Manchester City and Nottingham Forest. Marr has gone on record to say that he knew his football career was going to be short-lived when he turned up for matches wearing mascara.
