It has been a slow summer for the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern…
The Lilywhites have been comparatively quiet when you consider the involvement that the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City have had in the transfer market, but that is a tide that appears to be changing.
Davinson Sanchez has officially been unveiled as Tottenham’s new number six, whilst Southampton shot-stopper Paulo Gazzaniga has also now moved to White Hart Lane.
Indeed, business is seemingly picking up, and according to ESPN, another player wants to move to Tottenham this summer too. ESPN report, citing sources close to the player, that Man City starlet Jadon Sancho is keen on a move to Wembley, with the attacker said to be keen to return to London.
Tottenham, it is noted, is his ideal choice given their proven track record of developing young players – which speaks volumes about Mauricio Pochettino’s qualities in that regard.
At just 17-years-old, he’s unlikely to be a regular at Tottenham, but his fine recent form – most notably at the Under-17 Championships – has earned him quite the reputation across Europe.
Landlord’s Verdict
Sancho is a player with a lot of talent, and Man City won’t want to lose him. What is their loss, though, is Tottenham’s gain – and Mauricio Pochettino will certainly know what to do with him.
He’s obviously raw, but his talented ability to dribble, pass well and excite supporters with his technical ability is sure to impress Pochettino.
