Games against Man Utd are always significant for Tottenham, with clashes often being hugely important in the context of the Premier League season. This game, however, is particularly important for Tottenham. With a new stadium on the way, the clash is the last for the club at the original White Hart Lane.
Having first moved into the stadium in 1899, Tottenham have created so much history and produced so many historic moments at the ground, though recent growth has undoubtedly created a need for the club to move on.
Though the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited about the prospect of a stadium move, there is also a fairly strong air of anxiety amongst supporters. White Hart Lane is all they have known when supporting their club, and the prospect of leaving the stadium is certainly going to be a difficult idea for them to get their heads around round.
There is a very similar sense of apprehension amongst Tottenham fans on Twitter, too, with many expecting a very emotional day on Sunday…
