Everton supporters have been drowning their sorrows in the Transfer Tavern in the last few days after seeing their side go down 5-1 away at Arsenal on Saturday, thus suffering their 11th Premier League defeat of the campaign.
Sam Allardyce’s men went into their clash with the North London giants off the back of beating Leicester City 2-1 at Goodison Park in midweek, in what was their first league victory of 2018. Yet the Toffees were unable to back that up as an Aaron Ramsey hat-trick as well as strikes from Laurent Koscielny and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sealed a comprehensive win for Arsene Wenger’s side, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s second half effort proving to be nothing more than a consolation for the travelling Toffees supporters.
Consequently, there have been many disappointed Evertonians in the Tavern this week, several of whom are trying to forget about Saturday’s horror show and instead focus all their attentions on this weekend’s massive encounter with Crystal Palace at Goodison Park.
In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident Everton fans to get their teeth into, not least a recent man-of-the-match display from former Toffee Gerard Deulofeu for new club Watford.
The 23-year-old left the Merseyside outfit back in the summer to re-join Spanish giants Barcelona, and was subsequently sent out on loan by the La Liga leaders in January after starting just ten times in the first half of the season.
And one his home debut for Javi Gracia’s Watford, the Spain international scored one and assisted another in a wonderful performance – one which had Everton fans on Twitter bemoaning their side’s decision to let the winger go, with the finger firmly pointed at former boss Ronald Koeman…
Ronald Koeman and Steve Walsh have ruined Everton football club , Geri playing class for Watford proves that

Why did we ever let Deulofeu go? I hate Koeman for that more than anything else… he has everything we need, pace, dribbling and agility with actual quality on the ball… but he doesn’t track back all the time so he’s not good enough?

I think it is safe to say that after watching Geri tonight we have a shambolic recruitment team and Koeman has really messed us up blame Sam all you want we have been a complete shambles before he was appointed something behind the scenes ain’t right at Everton.

Don’t forget the truly awful Ronald Koeman who drove Geri out of the club. All 3 ruining our club.

Why did we ever let Deulofeu go #EFC

Deulofeu had a brilliant home debut for Watford. Everton did not want him. Why would we need a player with spectacular individual skills, creativity & control? Much better to have 8 players booting the ball upfield from the penalty area. #AllardyceOut #EFC
