The 2 signings that could make-or-break Spurs’ 2017/18 season

Spurs are having a tremendous season and despite looking like they are going to fall short in the league title race, they can still look back fondly when the 16/17 campaign draws to a close.

Next season will once again represent a chance for Spurs to challenge, and manager Mauricio Pochettino will no doubt have his eye on some extra talent joining the club in the summer.

Our landlord has been having some good chats with some Spurs fans here in the Tavern this week, and in between throwing a few arrows at the dartboard, their fans have been making plenty of noises about potential signings this summer.

The lure of playing at Wembley could help Spurs attract some really excellent players from around the world, and our landlord thinks it might be enough to get them over the line next term.

With this in mind, here’s TWO signings who could make or break Spurs’ season next year…

Ousmane Dembele

If there is one thing which Spurs need to sort out, it is a direct replacement or bit of competition for star man Harry Kane.

When Kane was missing this season, Dele Alli was left to fill the void with Vincent Jansson not impressing this year. The signing of someone as talented as Dembele could be a real marker for Spurs, and the forward is certainly one of the hottest properties in Europe at the moment.

Arda Turan

The Turk is by no means a first choice at Barcelona and often struggles to get a game when all squad members are fit.

He is though a supreme talent, and a player who many think would suit the English game. Turan would certainly offer something different to Spurs should they decide to make a move for him.
