Happy New year to all from The Sportsman, let’s hope it’s a profitable one. To kick-start some profit for 2011 I am looking at corners handicaps this week and siding with the underdog in what is a tighter than average English Premier League season.
For the stats below I have termed the two Manchester clubs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool as the “elite” sides. This is debatable with Spurs knocking loudly on the door and therefore I have omitted them from the stats as although they haven’t quite taken their place at the elite table yet nor can they be described as a lesser light in the League.
For background purposes, normally when you oppose the elite sides at home on corners handicaps market the underdog’s will receive a 2, 3 or 4 corner start with the likes of Manchester United giving up four corners to their opponents and Manchester City giving up two.
The price will be around evens or the 11-10 mark for the underdogs with a handicap tie around 6-1. For simplification lets work to evens your dough. Below are the figures for what I have termed the non-elite sides away to the elite sides this season.
