These 2 Man City loanees should really be involved in the first-team squad

The Man City fans have been disappointed with Pep Guardiola’s loan policy this season…

The Spaniard has come to Manchester and passed on his own unique style of management – and that has led to some very severe changes at the Etihad.

Many of them are great. A few key signings, including the likes of Stones and Nolito, have performed very well this season – and Guardiola’s infamous tiki-taka style of play has worked wonders in the Premier League so far.

However, it has not been all good.

Man City’s form in recent weeks has been poor, and several players are lacking form – but Guardiola has very little choice but to play them. His squad depth has been cut short by the loaning of several first-team stars – and our landlord thinks that he made a huge mistake letting them go.

The Man City fans in the Tavern are inclined to agree, and they think that a few of them should really still be playing at the Etihad,

With that said, these 2 Man City loanees should really be involved in the first-team squad

 Samir Nasri

Nasri

Samir Nasri was, without doubt, lacking fitness at the start of the season – and Guardiola was right to call him out on that fact. But right now – he is performing far above expectations on loan with Sevilla.

He looks back to the Samir Nasri of old, and all the while, Man City are beginning to struggle somewhat going forward.

A loan made very little sense long-term, and his excellent form has reinforced that fact.

Guardiola should cut his losses and try and bring him back, or else it could be too late.

 Joe Hart

There is no debate on this one amongst the punters in the Football Transfer Tavern.

A fair few of the Man City fans in attendance thought it was a huge mistake to let him go in the first place, and he has proven that point to Guardiola himself in recent weeks.

After a slow start to life in Italy, Hart has seemingly regained his old form – and has been continually performing for the Serie A outfit.

Conversely, his replacement at City, Claudio Bravo, has been struggling – and this has left the Man City fans in the Tavern very frustrated.

Joe Hart should never have lost his place.
