These 2 players could follow Scott Hogan to West Ham this month

Our West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern want to see attack minded players getting signed this month as they look for a better second half to this season.

The Hammers really have struggled in front of goal this year and that has largely been down to two factors.

First of all, the Irons have seen Simone Zaza fail to find the net once during his terrible loan spell from Juventus and then, secondly, Andy Carroll – the Hammers’ main forward – has been injured a great amount once again.

The former Newcastle man is back in action now but you never know how long for and so with that the club must be looking for further striking options.

Indeed, according to Sky Sports the club have had a bid rejected for striker Scott Hogan and our landlord reckons they’ll go back for him with an improved offer.

He could still be on the way to the club, then, and our landlord reckons these two players could just follow him…

Jermain Defoe

West Ham have seen a bid rejected for Jermain Defoe already this window, as reported by BBC Sport, and our landlord is convinced they’ll go back for him at some point.

The Sunderland man has shown that he’s still got it in the Premier League and has been a huge part of the reason as to why the Black Cats even harbour a hope of staying up this year. They’ll be determined to keep him, then, but could Defoe push the move through?

Robert Snodgrass

It’s The Guardian who revealed this as a possibility recently.

The Hull City attacking midfielder has shown this season that he at least deserves to be in the Premier League next year and so that could provide him with a move in this window. He’s scored a great amount of goals for the Tigers in their struggle against the drop and would certainly add some more guile and craft to the Hammers’ final third.
