It has been a mixed bag of results for Spurs so far this season, much to the frustration of their supporters who can regularly be found here in the Transfer Tavern.

After going so close to winning the Premier League title last season the Spurs were expected to go onto become a major force towards the top of the table, but that hasn’t been the case so far during this campaign.

Spurs have already crashed out of the Champions League after several below-par performances and boss Mauricio Pochettino is now under pressure to revive the club’s fortunes, starting with their Premier League form.

One Spurs follower is sat flicking through the day’s newspaper and he thinks that the absence of Harry Kane has been telling during this season, stating that the team can now focus on climbing the league following his return to the team.

Vincent Janssen

The big Dutch striker has not settled at all well at White Hart Lane and already he looks like a real flop of a signing for the club.

In the absence of main talisman Kane, Spurs needed the youngster to step up and fill his boots, but he simply doesn’t look like a Premier League goalscorer at all.

One Spurs fan is tucking into a belated Sunday Lunch here in the Tavern and he thinks that Janssen is looking more and more out of his depth with every passing game in the Premier League.

Moussa Sissoko

The man who was instrumental in France reaching the Euro 2016 Final in the summer was expected to be a big player for Spurs this season. At present, however, he is showing the sort of form that was a big part of Newcastle United getting relegated last season.

Spurs spent a whopping £30 million on the midfielder in the summer and on current form it looks a complete waste of money, with the 27-year-old seemingly struggling at the moment.

The jury is out on the Frenchman and a group of Spurs fans are debating whether or not he will have a long-term future at the club over a round of Sunday shots here in the Tavern.
