Tottenham have struggled in recent weeks, and the Spurs fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are getting slightly concerned…

Mauricio Pochettino has expertly led the Lilywhites since his arrival a few years ago, and despite an excellent start to the season; things have gone somewhat downhill in recent weeks.

Defeat against Liverpool has been followed by a number of poor results, and that has left the Tottenham fans in the Tavern sweating on their prospective title chances this season.

Not only will Tottenham’s poor form worry their fans, but it will likely also worry a few of their young players. As a byproduct of poor form, Pochettino will naturally give his youngsters less of an opportunity – and so they will be forced to stagnate in Spurs’ developmental teams.

Our landlord thinks that Pochettino would be wise to loan these youngsters out, as to not stall their development.

With that said, these TWO Spurs players need to leave to fulfil their potential

 Marcus Edwards

Marcus Edwards is undoubtedly the most talented youngster in the Tottenham squad, and at the start of the season – things were looking positive.

He was getting a bit of game time, and in truth – he was starting to look like a fully fledged member of the Tottenham first team.

However, recent poor results have, expectedly, reduced his game time – and that is only going to get worse as times goes on.

A short-term loan move could do wonders for young Edwards, and allow him to flourish outside of the confines of Tottenham Hotspur.

 Harry Winks

Harry Winks has recently been rewarded with a new contract at Tottenham, which is a testament to how highly he is rated at White Hart Lane.

In truth, our landlord thinks that he has the potential to go all the way at Spurs, but the time for that is not this season.

At this point, he doesn’t have the frame nor the skill to compete with the quality of players in Tottenham’s midfield, and much like Edwards – a loan move makes sense.

At 20-years-old, he doesn’t have as much time on his hands as Edwards does; so he needs to make a quickfire impact.
