West Ham United have had a tough season so far but they’re slowly beginning to climb the table and their fans here in the Tavern are becoming more and more optimistic about the campaign ahead!
Slaven Bilic endured a seriously tough season to start with but with the whole Dimitri Payet saga now behind the club, things should be about to get easier going forward and results should slowly begin to pick up.
We saw a stellar West Ham performance against Southampton last week and it was proof that there is enough quality in this Hammers side to do well come the end of the season.
But punters are still rightly a little nervous about things going forward, especially seeing as we’ve seen some very below-par performances from the Hammers throughout the campaign.
So with that in mind, here’s 2 things that could still ruin West Ham’ season going forward…
Failing to keep the fans onside

West Ham fans have been through a tricky few months- from the stadium move to the whole Dimitri Payet saga and they deserve to see some good football on the pitch.
But if things start going sour again and the fans turn against the team, it could quickly become a tricky few weeks for Slaven Bilic and his team.
The key to any West Ham success moving forward is keeping the fans happy and if they do that, things should be okay. Failure to do so could be disastrous.
Keeping Andy Carroll fit

Surprisingly, Andy Carroll has enjoyed quite the comeback in a West Ham shirt in recent weeks and keeping him fit could be the key to them picking up form from here to the end of the season.
The Englishman has been struggling with injuries for a while now and it’s good to see him having an extended run in the side and scoring goals. It’s good for England and it’s certainly good for the Hammers.
But if he picks up a needless injury yet again then West Ham’s form could quickly dip once again. They need to keep him fit.
