An obvious one.
Dimitri Payet has been an absolute revelation for West Ham since arriving at the club, and the argument has been made in the Football Transfer Tavern that he deserves to be playing at a much bigger club.
Signed for just £12.75m, Payet is now worth so much more – having established himself as one of the Premier League’s best players.
The West Ham fans in the Tavern expected him to leave over the summer, but they somehow managed to hold on to their star man.
Despite West Ham’s misfortunes this season – they would be a lot worse off without Payet.
Cheikhou Kouyate
Cheikhou Kouyate has been a near constant in the West Ham first team since his arrival in 2014, having made 67 league appearances during that period.
Signed for just over £6m, Kouyate has proven himself to be worth so much more – having been a real lynchpin of West Ham’s midfield since his arrival.
At just 26 years old, Kouyate could find himself a part of Bilic’s midfield outfit for years to come – making the necessary outlay for his deal looking even less significant.
What a player.
Aaron Cresswell
When it comes to value for money defenders, you can’t get much better than Aaron Cresswell.
The 26-year-old has suffered with injuries somewhat as of late, but that should not take away from the outstanding form he has been in since his arrival in 2014.
Signed for just £4m, Cresswell has proven himself as one of the best fullbacks in the Premier League, with his dominant defending and threatening forward runs.
Having won numerous in-house awards for the club, he has quickly become a fan favourite amongst the Hammers in the Football Transfer Tavern – with many touting him as the best West Ham signing of all time.
