The Sky Blues have spent the last few years developing a top of the range academy, and it has finally started to pay dividends.
Some of Europe’s most talent young players are developing behind-the-scenes at Man City’s training ground; and in 5 years time – our landlord thinks that they a few of them could be dominating the Premier League.
With that said, these THREE Man City wonderkids could be worth big money in 5 years time….
Tosin Adarabioyo
Tosin Adabaraiyo, the captain of the Man City under-18s, is a man that already looks ready for the first team.
Strong, physical – and perfect for the Premier League, Adabaraiyo is a ball playing central defender that has proven himself to be unstoppable in the heart of the Man City defence at youth level.
It has been a real problem area for City in recent years, with the Sky Blues spending big money trying to resolve the problems in recent years.
Little do they know, they have a homegrown replacement already at the club – and in 5 years time; he will be a superstar.
Kelechi Iheanacho
A very obvious one.
Kelechi Iheanacho has been receiving a host of plaudits amongst the punters in the Football Transfer Tavern for his work in the Man City first team in recent months; and he could be worth big money in a matter of months.
He broke into the City first team last season and impressed, and now finds himself just behind Sergio Aguero in the pecking order. Given Aguero’s tendency to get injured, that could allow the young striker a few opportunities this season.
As of late, Iheanacho appears to score whenever he plays – and he is already proving himself to be a star despite being just 20 years old.
Forget 5 years – how about 5 months?
Manu Garcia
Manu Garcia is one of the few Man City youngsters to be given his first team debut in recent years, and he looks set to be a real star.
The heir-apparent to David Silva, Manu Garcia has been compared to the Spanish hero on a number of occasions in the Football Transfer Tavern, and it is easy to see why.
Dynamic and technically gifted, Garcia is the perfect attacking midfielder – and could be the perfect man to replace the veteran Spaniard in the Man City first team
In 5 years time, he will undoubtedly be involved under Guardiola, and worth big money.
