If overnight reports are to be believed, Arsenal are reportedly switching their attention away from Alexandre Lacazette, after the London side were priced out of a move for the talented forward.
Our Arsenal supporting punters here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are quite excited about this news, and would love to see Jese at the Emirates Stadium next season.
Despite the club having been linked with a host of other big names this summer, numerous outlets are reporting that Real Madrid’s Jese is on the Arsenal radar as an alternative to Lacazette.
A strange deal indeed, but considering that Jese rarely gets an opportunity with Madrid; perhaps it makes sense?
Either way, it seems probable that whilst a striker is the primary need for Arsene Wenger – other players are definitely on their way to The Emirates.
With that, here are THREE players that could follow Jese to Arsenal this summer.
Riyad Mahrez

News reports a few days ago seemingly suggested out of the blue that a Mahrez to Arsenal deal was imminent, but it would seem that those suggestions were a bit off the mark.
Even so, the interest in the player is definitely concrete, with a supposed €50 million bid ready for the Leicester playmaker.
Sky Sports are reporting that the deal is the most likely of any Arsenal transfer rumour, so it definitely seems like this one is set to happen.
Ben Yedder

Another target that The Gunners are reportedly chasing is Toulouse striker Ben Yedder.
The forward landed 17 league goals in France last year, and is attracting the interest of a host of Premier League clubs.
The Mirror are running with this story, and make a point of also recognising Arsenal’s interest in Jese. Perhaps a deal for both could be on the cards?
With Wenger keen to bolster his attacking options, it would definitely not be a surprise.
Arda Turan

Arda Turan has been surrounded by transfer rumours for much of the summer; and it appears that they aren’t going away soon.
After failing to hold down a spot in the Barcelona first team, Turan is seemingly happy to leave the club; with Arsenal the front runners for the deal.
It doesn’t make too much sense in that Arsneal already have a lot of depth in his position, especially when you throw Mahrez into the mix; but Wenger is clearly keen to add to his attacking line.
Sky Sports are suggesting that, like Mahrez, this deal is very probable – placing the deal in second place behind Mahrez in terms of how likely the deal is to happen.
