Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino has become somewhat of a breeding ground for top young talent, with a host of young English players breaking into the first team under the Argentine boss as of late.

However, whilst several talents have made it through – there is a host of unearthed talent at White Hart Lane that could be next in line to make the jump.

In the Premier League, it takes something very special to push a player through developmental into senior football; and Tottenham’s youngsters are under pressure to make the transition.

With that said, these THREE Spurs under-21 players are under-pressure to make the grade…..

Marcus Edwards

Marcus Edwards is the most high profile of Tottenham’s young breakout stars, and with that comes a real expectation to impress.

He has drawn comparisons to some of Europe’s brightest talents by some of our punters, and the Tottenham fans are expecting him to make the jump as early as this season.

He has already gotten a taste of first-team football, but he must now grab it by the scruff of the neck and continue to impress.

Harry Winks

Harry Winks has seemingly been around the Tottenham first team forever, with many hoping that he will soon be able to command the Tottenham midfield.

After recently signing a new deal, the pressure is on Winks this season to show that he was worth the investment – and Pochettino will likely give him ample opportunities to do that.

The Tottenham fans in the Tavern are confident that he will make it – so the pressure is definitely on.

Josh Onomah

Josh Onomah is another youngster that has gotten an opportunity in the first team so far this season – and he must prove that he is worth the time that Pochettino is putting into his development.

An exciting midfielder, Onomah has already made 10 appearances for the Lilywhites – and Pochettino looks set to give him even more of a chance this season

His first impressions have been markedly less boisterous than his colleagues – but he has time on his side. He must impress soon, though.
