The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are divided on the matter of Slaven Bilic’s future…
The Croatian has been walking a tightrope at the London Stadium for the best part of a year now, with the Hammers’ form failing to reach the heights of his early days in charge of the club.
They’ve started the 2017/18 season fairly poorly, and unsurprisingly, talk of a potential sacking is rife amongst the fans in the pub.
Up until now, though, a lack of alternatives has seen most supporters keep the faith, but a recent major sacking has changed that mindset. Carlo Ancelotti was sacked as Bayern Munich boss this week, and the Daily Mail have already speculated that the Hammers could move for him.
It’s a move that would certainly generate a lot of excitement. He’s highly experienced and trophy-laden, and that could make him the perfect fit.
Unsurprisingly, West Ham fans on Twitter are eager for this to happen, with supporters unanimous in their desire to bring him in if Bilic is moved on…
