West Ham’s debut season at the London Stadium has definitely been a disappointment and fans in the Transfer Tavern have called for big changes this summer.
Slaven Bilic’s side have struggled vastly this season, with poor recruitment last summer costing the side this season as they flirted with relegation before securing a 11th placed finish, and the Hammers face a big test this summer if they’re to improve their side.
A top-class striker and better wing-backs are necessary for the Hammers, who will also be looking for a big-name player to fill the void left by Dimitri Payet’s unceremonious return to Marseille in the January transfer window.
Remarkably though, West Ham’s Head of Player Recruitment Tony Henry has stated that he believes the Hammers just need two or three fresh faces during the summer window – which has led to an angry backlash from supporters in the bar and on social media.
