Tottenham Hotspur have struggled to reach the standard they have set for themselves in recent seasons within the current campaign. Mauricio Pochettino’s side battled to a 1-1 draw with Marco Silva’s Watford on Saturday afternoon in a result which saw them lose further ground in the Premier League title race. With only 1 victory from their past 6 league games, Spurs now sit 18 points adrift of league-leaders Manchester City with still over half the season left to be played.
However, it has not been all doom and gloom for Tottenham so far this season, as they have already secured qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League as winners of Group H.
They will play their final fixture of the group stages on Wednesday evening at home to APOEL Nicosia who will be hoping to secure a place in the Europa League with a victory at Wembley.
Yesterday, Tottenham’s official Twitter page confirmed that Dele Alli will start the match against Nicosia.

And it appears the fans are divided about Alli’s inclusion…
A handful of the Spurs supporters are concerned about injuries to key players ahead of the hectic winter schedule, whilst others are adamant their side should be at full-strength to ensure a confidence-boosting victory is achieved.
Considering they only have pride to play for, the fans will be dearly hoping their key players avoid picking up an injury in their final Champions League group match.
