Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Tavern are urging their side on for the remaining Premier League fixtures, as a strong finish could set them up nicely for the next campaign.

Indeed, the Lilywhites have enjoyed a rather successful season in many respects as they came close in the Champions League and remain on course for a top-four finish. Although, one problem has been the lack of minutes given to the younger generation in the current campaign, as manager Mauricio Pochettino has been focused on grinding out positive results with the same team to ensure consistency.

But, it may not be long until supporters witness a couple of the younger generation in the first-team ranks, as they’ve been sending shockwaves through the youth levels. So, Spurs could be about to uncover the next Harry Winks after seeing his rise to stardom this season, with many of our local residents beginning to get excited.

Nevertheless, this time next year, you’ll know about these TWO Tottenham youngsters…

Tashan Oakley-Boothe

The 18-year-old was included in the first-team squad during their tour of America last summer for pre-season, and featured against the likes of AS Roma, Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City while he was over there.

Indeed, the midfielder wasn’t forgot about after the tour as he found himself on the bench for their opening Premier League fixture, and finally got his chance to impress in the Carabao Cup against Barnsley.

So, the young central midfielder will be sure to earn more minutes in the next campaign, as he continues to make huge strides on the international stage and in Spurs’ youth ranks.

Marcus Edwards

Marcus Edwards has been built up throughout his youth years at Tottenham Hotspur but is yet to really breakthrough into the first-team, as his loan spell at Norwich City was cut short recently.

Although, the 19-year-old has been sublime in the Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League, as he currently has eight goals to his name and has also provided five assists for his teammates.

But, with Spurs possibly looking to welcome a couple of new faces into the first-team for next season, they should save spending millions by exploiting Edwards’ brilliance in the Premier League.
