The Whites are currently one point behind an automatic promotion place after 18 games, so the dream of securing promotion to the Premier League is still very much alive. Although, they did suffer a setback on the transfer front recently, as according to The Sun on Sunday (25/11; page 60) (via HITC), Aston Villa, Stoke City and Bristol City are all interested in signing Tom Heaton.
Aston Villa boss Dean Smith is planning to make a move for Tom Heaton on loan when the January window opens, while Bristol City and Stoke City are also interested in the goalkeeper.
Leeds United desperately need to bring a goalkeeper to the club due to Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Jamal Blackman’s recent injuries, which has forced Marcelo Bielsa into making use of Will Huffer.
However, with a number of other clubs interested in securing Burnley’s out of favour shot-stopper, it makes it even harder for the Whites to secure his services.

Tom Heaton still has plenty of life left in him, despite not earning many minutes at Turf Moor in recent times.
Leeds United are in a spot of bother at this moment in time and can’t really do anything about it, with Will Huffer having to make the step up into the first-team.
So, the Whites will be gutted to have suffered a big setback in their pursuit of the former Manchester United man, as he could play a huge part in their promotion push in the second half of the season.
