As you can imagine, life amongst the Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern is a sad one. Indeed, after an awful run of form of late, the punters propping up the bar are venting their frustrations both and often loudly here.
With Champions League qualification out of sight and not much confidence in the ranks ahead of the Gunners’ crunch tie against AC Milan in the Europa League, it seems fans online are turning on the players as much as Arsene Wenger himself.
In fact, rather interestingly, one of the main talking points to have emerged on Twitter of late has actually surrounded a player who isn’t actually with the club at the moment. Following another largely anonymous performance from Alex Iwobi, Arsenal fans on social media can’t quite believe Le Prof opted to loan out Lucas Perez in place of the Nigerian international.
The Spaniard struggled to convince during his year at the Emirates before returning to Deportivo La Coruna in the summer, though was certainly missed by those on Twitter yesterday.

We never should have gotten rid of Lucas Perez. We needed him this season and could have recalled his loan. Too bad Wenger hates him. Perez’s contract ends this season too so he’s off.
