Top five worst Tottenham football shirts

Away Shirt 1994/95

1994/1995 - Away Tottenham fans get put through the ringer more than most it appears and after browsing some of the clubs shirts from previous era’s, it seems the fans have been put through more than their fare share of fashion nightmares as well.

It seems the club have been striving for that perfect kit as much as they have been striving for that perfect team, constantly changing brand and sponsor.

Adidas, Kappa, Puma, Pony and most recently US brand Under Armour have taken it in turns to try and provide the perfect kit. Whilst Hewlett Packard, Thomson and Holsten (twice) have had the honour of having their brand plastered across the front of the Lilywhite shirt.

Some kits have been spot on and looked the part, whilst some others have been quite frankly awful.

White and navy blue have been the standard for home kits for as long as you can remember, but it’s with the away kits and goalkeeper shirts Tottenham fans have endured nightmares. Yellow’s, purples, stripes, cheques – they’ve seen it all!

Here we take a look at five of the worst Tottenham shirts of all time.

Is it a coincidence that the majority of the nightmare shirts came during the time ‘Pony’ was the brand? Perhaps not..
