Isco is a player that many of the punters in the Football Transfer Tavern have touted as a ‘dream’ signing, with many feeling that his technical brilliance and skill could be huge in the Premier League.
The ‘dream’ has become slightly realistic as of late, given that Isco has been in-and-out of the Real Madrid first team over the last year or so – with the duo of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo limiting his role within the side.
This lead to speculation in the Tavern over the summer that a Premier League side could potentially go in for him, should he be keen to first team football – and Tottenham were frequently linked with such a deal.
And whilst no deal materialised, it would appear that Mauricio Pochettino is refusing to give up.
According to the Mirror, Tottenham are considering making an audacious loan move for Isco in the new year – with Mauricio Pochettino keen on a deal.
Interestingly, they add that Chelsea could also move if Real Madrid hint that he might be available.
Our landlord thinks that this would be a huge deal if either club could land the Spaniard – as he is undoubtedly one of Europe’s best.
The Blues fans think that he could be the perfect man to replace Oscar in the Chelsea first team, whilst the Tottenham fans have been longing for a player of his stature for some time.
Isco has made 4 starts for Real Madrid so far this season.
