Tottenham fans will be desperate to get both Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou off their books today, even if the former’s deal is just a loan. However, The Sun has claimed that Janssen’s move to Real Betis is now off after Daniel Levy attempted to haggle an extra £1 million from the Spanish club at the 11th hour.
Real Betis had reached an agreement to sign Vincent Janssen on an initial loan with an option to buy but have now pulled out a deal with #thfc after Daniel Levy attempted to increase the loan fee by £1M late on. [The Sun]

Whilst a lot of the fans are sceptical over the credibility of the story seeing as it’s come in from the very hit and miss Sun newspaper, it’s a story that would not surprise the fans in the slightest. Levy has developed a reputation for being a nightmare to negotiate with and taking a hardline stance on everything he does, however, it looks like it may have come back to bite him here.
Janssen was signed by Levy and Mauricio Pochettino back in summer 2016 and the Lilywhites had high hopes that he could be the man to fire them to better things as Harry Kane’s deputy. However, his move has been a disastrous one and the supporters will be desperate to get him out of the club now, even if they are having to sell him at a loss after his disastrous two and a half years in North London.

Might be fake news but certainly sounds like something The Milkman might get up to.

The Lilywhites are far from happy with this reported story and they’ll all hope that they can finally offload Janssen this month, even if it is isn’t too Real Betis.
