Tottenham fans always seem to find themselves having to look up all sorts of players during any given transfer window as their club is linked to almost every player under the sun. Some of these rumours pop up more consistently than others, and according to Italian outlet Gazzetta, Napoli’s Amadou Diawara could be on his way to North London.
[@Gazzetta_IT] now understand Tottenham Hotspur are keen to bring SSC Napoli midfielder Amadou Diawara to the club.

The young midfielder has seldom featured under the management of Carlo Ancelotti this season and it looks like he’s going to be forced to find a new club if he wants to be playing regular first-team football anytime soon. That’s where these links to Spurs come in, as the Guinean midfielder would likely fit Mauricio Pochettino’s side nicely in the absence of Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama.
The midfielder at Tottenham is currently going through something of an injury crisis. If it wasn’t for the resurgent Moussa Sissoko, the Lilywhites would be in real trouble this season. Pochettino will need to have a long, hard think about his options this month, as the chance to get in reinforcements is one that should be taken if he’s serious about winning silverware, especially seeing as he has massive injury concerns, and could be set to lose some of his key players if he isn’t successful this season.

The Lilywhites have little faith in signing Diawara and are preparing themselves for yet another dry transfer window.
