On Sunday, Tottenham fans were ecstatic when the next crop of Tottenham stars took to the pitch at the new stadium for the U18 clash with Southampton. Whilst the fans have got plenty of stars to look out for, the one who they wanted to see missed out as Troy Parrott continues his return from injury, however, his time at the new ground will come soon.

As the Lilywhites arrived yesterday the buzz about the place was immense. It’s going to be even better next Wednesday when the senior side turn up for their first competitive game at the ground, but for now, the supporters will have to make do with the U18 clash and this Saturday’s clash between Tottenham legends and Inter Forever. Yesterday, though, it was all about the future.
It really was gutting for a lot of fans that Troy Parrott couldn’t be there to shine on the stage that could well become his stomping ground over the next 15 years. This season has seen plenty of Tottenham fans call for the young Irishman to be used in the senior side on a number of occasions, and whilst he is too young and inexperienced at the moment, the Lilywhites have high hopes for the 17-year-old goal machine.

The excitement in North London for Parrott is incredible, and one day the fans hope they’ll be singing his name from the 17,000 seater single-tier stand as he becomes a goal machine at senior level.
