Tottenham fans have been given one of the biggest boosts they’ve ever had when it comes to their chances of resigning Gareth Bale. According to Spanish outlet Marca, the Lilywhites have got sufficient funds to bring the Welshman back to the capital, and given the ’emotional factor’, it could be a move that Bale would favour.

Tottenham fans everywhere have got fond memories of Gareth Bale. The Welshman signed as a run of the mill rotational left-back, and slowly under Harry Redknapp and Andre Villas-Boas he grew to become one of the best footballers on the planet. Currently, his talents are dwindling under the weight of expectation at Los Blancos, especially now that Zinedine Zidane is back, and an exit is on the cards.
Tottenham fans have always rubbished the rumours that Bale could be on his way back as a result of the astronomical wages that he’s likely on, however, this Marca report has blown their claims out of the water. So long as they can fend off interest from Manchester United and Bayern Munich, Bale could be coming home very soon, and the Lilywhites will be in dreamland if it happens.

The Lilywhites would love to see a fit and firing Bale back at the club, and with the new stadium now in action, the fans would love nothing more than a former hero to come and grace it.
