If you haven’t heard by now, it’s fair to say that Tottenham Hotspur didn’t have the best summer transfer window in the world. The club sold Keanan Bennetts for just over £2 million and signed absolutely nobody. However, according to L’Equipe, Adrian Rabiot has rejected a new PSG contract and could be set to sign a pre-agreement with Tottenham.

According to various sources, Rabiot was close to a move to North London over the summer but the Lillywhites, like they did with every other transfer target, failed to get it over the line. Instead, it looked like Rabiot would sign for Barcelona but instead, he looks to have stayed put. Now, though, with the 23-year-old rejecting a contract with the French champions, he could get his move to London.
The fans would love to see Rabiot sign and especially seeing as it looks like Mousa Dembele will be leaving next summer. The tidy French midfielder has an impressive passing range and would fit in on the left-side of Tottenham’s double pivot with ease. Rabiot looks like a ready-made Mauricio Pochettino player and with Lucas Moura and Serge Aurier having known the midfielder from their time at PSG, his adjustment to life at Spurs would be easy if he does move.

Whilst the Tottenham fans don’t have much faith in this deal going through, they’ll be praying that it does and Rabiot will sign.
