Adrien Rabiot to Tottenham is one of those rumours that you see every single transfer window. The Lilywhites were linked with him heavily in the summer, and last January, and the summer before that and so on. However, like clockwork, with the January window approaching, La Parisien have linked the Frenchman with a Spurs switch.

The only strange thing about this particular link is that usually you have the buying club identify the player from the selling club. Now in this case, as PSG have identified Tottenham as a potential club who could be looking to purchase their 23-year-old as they seem desperate to get something of a transfer fee for the midfielder in the upcoming window to stop him leaving them for free in the summer.
A lot of Tottenham fans are still sceptical over his potential deal, though, seeing as they’ve been linked with him for so long, they can’t help but feel like their club is being played here. Even if the links are genuine and Mauricio Pochettino wants to add Rabiot to his side, the competition from other linked clubs would be enormous. This looks like one of those deals that will never get past the first round of negotiations and The Lilywhites know that.
