We’re now getting to the business end of the season, and we all know that means that the rumour mill is starting to fire up again. In truth, the rumour mill never really stops whirring, yet now the silly season is almost underway and in anticipation of the transfer window, Tottenham fans looking ahead to summer have a made grave prediction.

As Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold asked them the question on Twitter about the futures of Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld, the Lilywhites have all come back and believe that despite the pair being two of their brightest players, they’re of the opinion that the former Ajax pair will be on their way out. It will be a sad day when the two do leave North London, but in the end, no one is bigger than the club.
Saying goodbye to one of the best defenders your club has ever seen and possibly their greatest playmaker of the Premier League era will be hard to stomach. However, Mauricio Pochettino at the helm and with Daniel Levy in charge of negotiating the transfer fees, the Lilywhites can rest easy knowing that whatever happens, they won’t be getting shortchanged and will get the right replacements in.

The Lilywhites have complete faith in being able to replace their talented pair, but at the moment the feeling is that both Eriksen and Alderweireld will be on their way out when the window opens.
