Every season sees different players come through and make a serious name for themselves amongst the top leagues in Europe and so far this season is no different. One man who has caught the eye of a few top clubs is Italian midfielder, Nicolo Barella, who The Sun has linked with a move to Spurs.

These reports from the English paper have claimed that Daniel levy and Mauricio Pochettino are toying with the idea of parting with £35 million to capture the Italian’s signature, although given how he’s been playing this season it could take more than that to convince Cagliara to part with their prize asset. Whilst a lot of Tottenham fans won’t know of Barella, he comes well recommended and could be a real hit in North London if given the chance.
Pochettino, after becoming the first Premier League manager ever not to welcome a single new signing over a summer window, will be keen to ensure that he remains level-headed in the window and only signs players who he knows he needs and have the quality. Barella could certainly be one of those and given the injury problems in The Lilywhites’ current midfield, a lot of Spurs fans would take the Cagliara man in a heartbeat.

Whilst most Spurs fans won’t be clued up on Barella, the ones that are would die to see their club sign him.
