Despite the Champions League final edging ever closer, the big news for Tottenham this week was the revelation that they had made a £53m bid for Giovani Lo Celso. With the shackles seemingly off, the club could be braced for an exciting summer in the transfer market. And with Christian Eriksen linked with a move away, France Football (via Hotspur Related) report that Spurs are interested in signing PSG attacker Julian Draxler as a big-money replacement.
Having seen Lucas Moura arrive from the Parisien giants and begin to show the kind of form that made him one of Brazilian football’s highly regarded prospects, Spurs fans were understandably excited at the chance that they could revitalise another PSG star’s career.
With the report claiming that the German playmaker could be available for around €30-40m this summer, many Tottenham supporters took to social media to suggest that it represented great value for the player. Indeed, some claimed that at such a relatively cheap price in the context of the modern world of transfers, Draxler would be an ‘incredible squad player at the least’ and urged the club to sign the 25-year-old.

Anyone who says they don't want him is stupid

For that cheap we’d be silly not to get him
