Lots of Tottenham fans have been reacting to a transfer update on Sporting CP star Bruno Fernandes, as beIN Sports claim they are ‘most likely’ to be the London club fighting Manchester United for his services.
Fernandes is thought to be close to a January switch to Old Trafford, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in desperate need of some creativity from midfield.
Sky Sports reported on Friday that the Red Devils were closing in on a deal for the 25 year-old, with Sporting CP willing to accept €70m paid in instalments, or £59.6m.
According to a beIN report live from Old Trafford however, via @Daily_Hotspur, the deal has now been complicated as officials from the Portuguese club are in London, and it is ‘most likely’ Tottenham who are in the hunt from the capital.
Spurs have their own fair share of issues in midfield with Christian Eriksen on the verge of leaving and Moussa Sissoko injured, and Fernandes would certainly give the fans a lift having scored 13 goals and provided 13 assists this season, per Transfermarkt.
