Many Tottenham fans expressed their delight on Twitter about the inclusion of midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in their team’s starting line-up this evening.
As noted by the club’s official Twitter account @SpursOfficial, the Frenchman celebrated his 23rd birthday by being named in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI for the trip to Norwich.

Ndombele, who was a £55m summer signing (as per The Guardian), had started just one of Spurs’ previous nine matches since Mourinho took charge prior to this evening’s clash at Carrow Road (as per TransferMarkt).
The Tottenham manager revealed earlier this week that the 23-year-old, who is not long back from a groin injury, had conceded that he was not fit enough to feature against Brighton on Boxing Day and asked Mourinho to omit him from the matchday squad. [via Sky Sports]
