Tottenham: Fans rejoice over Erik Lamela performance vs. Real Madrid

Tottenham got the better of Real Madrid as they secured a 1-0 win in the Audi Cup semi-finals, but one player, in particular, stood out for Spurs fans.

Erik Lamela stole the show in Munich as the Argentine winger wowed supporters watching from afar, with one dribble past the Real Madrid team winning the former Roma attacker many plaudits from Tottenham supporters online.

Harry Kane scored the only goal on the night to see Spurs through to the final of the pre-season tournament to set-up a final with Bayern Munich, who demolished Fenerbahce 6-1 in their fixture just hours after Tottenham’s win, with the final set to take place shortly.

Naturally, Lamela’s performance impressed plenty of Spurs fans online, and many took to social media to praise the attacker for his involvement in the win against the 13-time European champions.

People that slate Lamela baffles me. He was becoming a great player until an injury that put him out for a year.
He’s got flair, aggression, can finish and works hard. And mugged off Wilshere. And booted Fabregas every chance he had.
