Tottenham fans take to Twitter to call against Sissoko sale

Tottenham fans on Twitter have been left gob-smacked by a recent article in The Evening Standard. The article claims that up to 12 (twelve) players could be set to exit Spurs this summer, and the fans have been in uproar having seen Moussa Sissoko’s name appear on the list of those who could be apart of their summer exodus.

Sissoko is just one name on the list and features alongside Kieran Trippier, Serge Aurier, Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Victor Wanyama, Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente. The chances that all 12 players will be off are slim to none, but as any of the Spurs’ dozen could face an exit, the Lilywhites are begging Sissoko stays.

The Frenchman would have been the first on the list to go last summer, yet this season the midfielder has turned things around spectacularly. He’s found himself a home in the centre of Tottenham’s midfield alongside Harry Winks for a large part of the season and should he be sold the fans will be fuming, demanding that if he does go they bring in a genuinely world-class replacement.
