Signing players is a bit of a touchy subject for Tottenham fans, isn’t it? The Lilywhites have gone over a year without welcoming any new faces, and now that The Daily Mail has released a list of five players on their list of targets, it hasn’t helped the mood. Two Championship players feature on the list, and the fans aren’t happy.

The five players being touted by the Mail are in the tweet above, and it really is understandable that the Lilywhites aren’t too pleased to be linked with Jarrod Bowen and Jack Grealish of the Championship, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Wilfried Zaha from lower end Championship sides and then Carlos Soler, who has just two goals in 38 outings this season for Valencia.
That quintet is hardly one that screams success, even if the fans are keen on bringing in maybe one or two of them. On the whole, though, the five players just aren’t up to the quality that the Lilywhites want, and would much rather see their side shopping in the same markets and splashing the same money that the likes of the two Manchester clubs, Chelsea and Liverpool.
